RDU to CVG

The school bus that I bought on online auction at Public Surplus for $1,500 is in Cincinnati, OH. At the time or bidding and purchase, I did not exactly planned ahead on how I would pick the bus up and bring it home. But I had a good friend living in SE Cincinnati. So in a way it was a little gamble that should I win the auction of buying the school bus, I was counting on Jody to help me out. As soon as I won the auction, I contacted Jody asking him to help me out, and he came through!

I purchased a one-way airplane ticket with Frontier Airline for $60. The plan was to fly to Cincinnati, spend one night, go to the bus garage to get the bus and drive the bus one way to home. Straight from Cincinnati, OH to Seven Springs, NC. Note:I didn’t include checked bag or carry-on but I am allowed one personal bag with my ticket for $60 one way.

My mother took me to the airport in Raleigh, NC and it is RDU. Jody picked me up at the CVG airport and we had a quick dinner at Wendy’s. As promised in 2016, Jody said he would take me out for a spin in his 30th Anniversary Camaro Z28 the next time I am in town. Well, I am in town again so we went out for a short ride. I forgot how fast and powerful the Camaro Z28 was in late 90’s but it is too fast for me.

Although school is out for summer, Jody and his wife had summer planned for their two young kids so we called it a night real early.
